Tornado Drill Day
3/25/2020 (Permalink)
If anyone is like me, I got so tired of tornado drills in school. I never understood why we had to sit out in the hallways on our knees with our heads down. Now that I am older I realize they were just trying to keep us safe for the possibility of a disaster. We at SERVPRO of Jackson/Crockett County suggest you do a Tornado Drill at your home or business at least once a year. This keeps it fresh for everyone. You need to know where to go in case your ever need to get to a safe spot quickly.
- Seek a small interior room or hallway on the lowest floor possible.
- Stay away from doors, windows, and outside walls
- Stay in the center of the room and avoid corners because they attract debris
- Avoid auditorium, cafeterias, and gymnasium, wide-span roofs
If a disaster should strike your home or business SERVPRO of Jackson/Crockett County is ready 24/7. Call us to help get you back on your feet “Like it never even happened.”
