Fall Cleaning Tips

September 22^nd marked the first official day of fall and some of you like to do some fall cleaning ahead of the holidays. We’d like to give you a few home maintenance safety tips as you get those ladders out and start working.

• Tip #1: This is a good time to change your batteries in smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.
• Tip #2: A lot of us like to get outside and clear those gutters of falling leaves, use caution while climbing ladders and when possible use a spotter.
• Tip #3: Check and replace home fire extinguishers.

BONUS TIP: Falling leaves and rain can make those driveways slick, use caution when navigating driveways and sidewalks.
